The Mystery of Christ
The Book of
Revelation is the only book of the Bible in which Jesus is directly
named the author. In the Gospels, Jesus spoke constantly in parables
and spiritual language, and He continues to do so in His Revelation.
When His disciples asked Him why He spoke in parables He said, Because
it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
but to them it is not given.
The Mystery
of Christ interprets
The Revelation of Jesus Christ using the Scriptures
as the key to understanding the visions. No other book of the Bible
contains more quotations and allusions to other Scripture than does the
Book of Revelation, and the visions become clearer as we review how the
same figures of speech and symbolic language have been used and
explained by earlier writers of the Word.
The Book of
Revelation promises a blessing to those who read it – yet it
remains one of the most neglected books of the Bible. There are
abundant spiritual blessings in this last written message from Christ
to His Church, and the greatest is the wonderful news of Christ and His
spiritual kingdom so vividly unveiled in the Revelation.
The
Testimony of Jesus Christ (Rev 1:2)
inspires the Christian to overcome the temptations and deceptions of
Satan’s world empire of evil, and so be found worthy to stand
before the Throne and hear the words, Well done, thou good and
faithful servant…enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
